In past years, BUDM has done a “Tape Your Friends to the Wall” fundraiser as a part of the 50 Days Countdown Celebration–and guess what? It’s back! On Wednesday, February 15th Jason Feldman, Eva Gach and Alex Shadrow will stand on chairs against a wall of the hallway down in BU Central, patiently waiting to see if they will stay up! Starting at 6:30pm, Feldman, Gach and Shadrow will have one hour to recruit their friends to buy one-foot strips of duct tape ($1) and strategically place it on their bodies. After the hour is up, we will remove the chairs beneath their feet and see who stays up!
While this is going on out in the hall, we will have laptops inside BU Central so you can register for Dance Marathon.
Wondering how you’ll stay entertained for 18 hours at Dance Marathon? Here’s a (working) list of some of the groups that will be performing!

Today, December 1, is World AIDS Day!
“World AIDS Day…is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died.”
More than 1,000 children are infected with HIV every day, and without treatment, almost half of newborns will die before their second birthday.
About 25 million people have died from AIDS since its discovery two decades ago. In an effort to raise awareness and support the cause, several organizations on campus collaborated to kick off World AIDS Week today, November 29.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in five of the roughly 1.2 million people infected with HIV are undiagnosed. To counter this, BU World AIDS Week offered free HIV testing today at the GSU from 10am-1pm, and will be providing the free testing the remainder of the week at Student Health Services.
